Reverberations

In the process of taking apart used clothing I noticed the bends and curves the thread retained after I removed it from fabric. Thread has a memory of what has been left behind in the wake of clothing production in communities where our clothing is made. Detrimentally extractive, contaminating water, using massive amounts of energy and exploiting workers at every step of the manufacturing process, the impacts last long after our clothes have been hung in our closets. These drawings reference these “reverberations.”
